Risk Management process training
We are your source to train employees who are either newly hired or promoted into your price risk management, purchasing or sales functions. We will educate them in the entire price risk management process, not just how to execute trades or buy material. Once we train your people in the markets, the instruments and the operational process, we maintain contact to support them as they implement your company's strategies. It's a unique way to quickly bring new employees up to a world-class level in a complex process. We will also provide updates to your employees in the price risk management process so your program can always be world-class in terms of operations, techniques and controls.
Training
We provide training at your offices or our Pittsburgh location. Periodically, we hold Risk Management Process training sessions either in Pittsburgh or London, limiting attendees to no more than 10 participants to ensure individualized training.

- Basic hedging concepts
- Understanding the LME and NYMEX
- Price Risk Management: a process overview
- Technical analysis
Our training is designed to deliver a thorough understanding of the structure of the relevant metals industries, the fundamental factors influencing prices on a day-to-day basis, and how the business impact can be managed through risk management processes. Training programs are structured around proven learning modules but customized to company and individual needs. One example is our intensive 1 1/2 day program designed to accelerate new employees up the learning curve.
