We are seeking an Event Marketing Manager to join our dynamic team based in London. This pivotal role involves spearheading the organization and marketing of global events that align with our company’s strategic goals. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in reinforcing our brand’s presence on the world stage, orchestrating events that connect and engage with our global audience effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
Marketing Plan Development and Execution: You will hold complete responsibility for crafting and executing dynamic marketing plans within the designated budget, aimed at achieving or surpassing the forecasted sales revenue across various events.

Concurrent Event Marketing Management: Given the seasonal dynamics of the events industry, you are expected to adeptly manage and market approximately 7 events simultaneously, ensuring each one receives the full attention and resources it needs to succeed.

Growth in Delegate Numbers and Revenues: Taking direct charge, you will be specifically tasked with and measured against the increase in attendee numbers and revenue generation, as well as SpEx improvements for a select subset of events. This includes overseeing all related marketing activities personally.

Travel for Event Attendance: The position requires engagement beyond traditional settings, encompassing both national and international travel to physically attend events. This commitment may extend to weekends when necessary, to ensure our presence and participation align with our goals.

Brand Positioning and Identity Management: A key aspect of your role will be to manage and evolve our brand positioning strategies. This involves enhancing our market reach and penetration, while also guaranteeing that our brand identity is conveyed consistently and positively through all marketing communications.

Essential Criteria:

  • Bachelors Degree in Marketing or similar
  • A professional qualification in marketing (CIM, Digital Marketing) is desired although not essential
  • Multicultural Work Experience: Proven ability to operate effectively across diverse cultural environments, understanding and integrating various cultural perspectives in a global setting.
  • Expertise in Event Marketing: Possess strong proficiency in best practices of marketing specifically within the events sector, ensuring innovative and effective strategies.
  • Digital Marketing Proficiency: Demonstrable experience with a digital-first approach in developing and implementing marketing strategies, particularly within a B2B or conference context.
  • Strategic Marketing Development: Skilled in crafting detailed marketing strategies and plans, and adept at executing these to achieve tangible outcomes for events
  • Industry Awareness: Regularly updates knowledge of the industry trends to ensure marketing strategies and messages remain relevant and impactful.
  • Competitive Analysis Skills: Knowledgeable in conducting thorough competitor analysis to ensure our marketing efforts are distinct and strategically leveraged through effective use of value propositions.
  • Market Mapping Capabilities: Ability to create detailed market maps to aid in understanding market segmentation and refining messaging approaches.
  • Brand and Message Consistency: Ensures that all customer touchpoints consistently reflect the brand and its message to optimize customer experience.
  • Comprehensive Campaign Management: Extensive experience managing complex marketing campaigns, utilizing a comprehensive promotional mix and leveraging all available marketing media, with a strong emphasis on digital channels.
  • Communication & Collaboration: Exhibits superior communication skills paired with a strong ability to forge collaborative relationships both within the company and externally.
  • Matrix Efficiency & Stakeholder Management: Effectively navigates matrix organizations and adeptly handles multiple stakeholder interests and priorities.
