We are seeking a talented and motivated individual to take on a leadership role covering pricing in the global ferroalloy market. Key elements of the role include managing all aspects of the data collection and publication of CRU’s ferroalloy prices, expanding price assessment contacts, developing new pricing methodologies, as well as writing and editing market updates and analysis.

The job demands the ability to manage deadlines and contributions from a global team, maintain and grow a strong network of contacts, accurately assess prices to defined specifications, and contribute to the understanding of current and evolving market requirements for pricing benchmarks. The jobholder must be able to work effectively and collaboratively to lead an international team of pricing and market analysis specialists, publishing to tight deadlines and working within an established compliance framework.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Managing global ferroalloy pricing
  • Leading a small team of pricing analysts in price discovery and assessments
  • Maintaining and growing a network of contacts
  • Sharing market intelligence
  • Writing and editing market updates
  • Collecting information on market requirements for pricing benchmarks and addressing pricing-related inquiries


Knowledge, Experience and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Price discovery and assessment
  • Experience leading a small team
  • Network building and maintenance
  • Commodity pricing mechanisms, ideally in the ferroalloys and/or related markets
  • Market requirements for pricing benchmarks
  • Structure and operation of commodity supply chains, industry and competitive landscape
  • Creation and editing of written market analysis
  • Customer value drivers and motivations
  • Dealing with subscriber inquiries
  • To build, maintain and grow an effective market intelligence network;
  • Price discovery
  • Market intelligence gathering
  • Critical analysis of data trends and key drivers
  • The ability to lead effectively in a multi-site international team and communicate with team members
  • Self-motivation and the ability to learn and expand knowledge in key markets related to pricing
  • Unrelenting attention to detail and the ability to deploy this in error-free outputs
  • Ability to work to strict deadlines and within the necessary compliance framework
  • First class communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Resilience, persistence and the determination to succeed
  • To be a team and company leader and work with colleagues towards common goals
  • Excellent IT skills including the use of MS Office (Advanced Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Fluent written and spoken English (a second language would be a bonus)
