The Digital Marketing Strategy at CRU focuses on driving growth in key markets by maximising the impact of our digital tools and data. We leverage technologies like the Optimizely web platform, Salesforce, and Pardot to stay competitive in the digital landscape.

We’re seeking a Web/SEO Manager to take ownership of our new Optimizely website, ensuring its optimal performance and managing a strong SEO strategy. This role is vital in enhancing CRU’s online presence, attracting target audiences, and maximising the value of our digital investments. You'll be at the forefront of turning our website into a powerful growth engine for the business.
 

Responsibilities:

  • Lead Website and SEO Strategy: Develop and execute a robust website and SEO strategy across CRU's public-facing sites, including CRUgroup.comSteelmarketupdate.com, and Recycledmetalsupdate.com, to increase visibility and drive high-quality traffic.
  • Boost Organic Search Performance: Use targeted keywords and SEO tactics to ensure CRU ranks at the top of Google search results - and stays there.
  • Identify opportunities for AdWords, create a testing plan, and monitor competitor performance to keep CRU ahead.
  • Manage CRUgroup.com: Oversee product development, content management, taxonomy improvements, and reporting to ensure a seamless user experience and optimal performance on our Optimizely platform.
  • Leverage Data for Results: Utilise Google Suite, ThoughtSpot, and other tools to make data-driven decisions, continuously improving reach and conversions.
  • Build Links and Maintain SEO Health: Create and execute a link-building strategy, manage redirects, fix broken links, and regularly disavow toxic backlinks to keep CRU’s websites healthy.
  • Report and Optimise: Track key metrics, analyse customer journeys, and refine strategies to increase engagement, conversions, and MQLs for sales hand-off.
  • Collaboration is Key: Work with Marketing Operations to ensure seamless integration with our marketing automation systems (Pardot/Marketing Cloud) and optimise lead nurturing.
  • Partner with the Head of Brand to align the website with CRU’s brand strategy and visual identity.
  • Collaborate with the VP of Marketing on new product launches and provide support where needed.
  • Support the Head of Campaigns, Portfolio, and Regional Marketing in refining website content, SEO strategies, and ongoing testing for continuous improvement.
  • Assist the Head of Digital Marketing with the migration of other CRU websites onto the Optimizely platform.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or similar 

Required Skills:

  • Proven Experience: A track record of success in a similar role, ideally within a comparable business.
  • Optimizely Expertise: Proficient in managing Optimizely CMS, including approval workflows.
  • B2B Lead Generation: Experience in a global B2B environment with a focus on lead generation.
  • Website Integrations: Hands-on experience with website integrations, such as ON24.
  • SEO Tools Mastery: Proficient with tools like SEMrush, Moz, or similar for effective SEO management.
  • Data-Driven Insights: Skilled in delivering impactful reporting to inform data-driven decisions, covering SEO, UX, and conversion-focused website journeys.
  • Marketing Tools Knowledge: Familiarity with marketing and automation tools (experience with Pardot is a plus).
  • Process Improvement and Training: Ability to implement new processes, create guides, and deliver training that empowers teams to self-serve.
  • Strong Communication and Collaboration: Confident in engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels.
  • Google Suite Proficiency: Experience with GA4, Google Ads, Google Search Console, and Google Tag Manager (GTM).
