CRU Thought Leadership on Tour in Canada

CRU Strategy team consultants Francisco Acuña and Jeff Dereume were delighted to travel to Toronto, Canada, to deliver a lithium project in person and meet with past and prospective clients. These clients included junior miners and financial lending groups.

Frank Nikolic, VP of the Battery and Base Metals team, and Brendon Wrana, Business Development Manager, joined them on client visits and hosted a CRU-sponsored networking event at the renowned LOUIX LOUIS restaurant.

Our team reflected on key themes they observed during their client engagements, such as:

  1. The importance of the long-term lithium price forecast and the desire to understand the primary factors influencing this price.
  2. The critical role that the rate of EV/PHEV adoption in North America will play in driving wide-scale lithium demand.
  3. Interest in the distribution of funding from the U.S. government's IRA and its impact on North American projects.
  4. Curiosity about how American industrial policy surrounding the IRA will affect China's role in the global battery material supply chain.

CRU prides itself in support clients with independent through leadership, to find out more contact our Strategy team.
