CRU is pleased to announce the upcoming launch of a new data collection platform for its US Midwest, German and Italian steel sheet and plate prices. The new CRU Data Collection Platform (CDCP) will replace the existing CRU Price Collection Platform (CPCP) with a target launch set for the end of March 2025.
CRU’s US Midwest HR Coil Index is the dominant and established global benchmark, used to settle most US physical market contracts, as well as futures contracts on the CME. Our Italian and German steel sheet and plate price indices are also widely used in physical market contract settlements. As part of our commitment to maintaining best practices, the transition to the new platform will be seamless, ensuring the continued accuracy of CRU data collection and alignment with our established methodologies.
