CRU appoints new Head of Analysis

CRU is pleased to announce that Chris Houlden has been appointed as Divisional Managing Director, Head of Analysis.

Before joining CRU, Chris worked for Tata Steel, a large and global industrial organisation, typifying CRU’s customers. At Tata Steel he held technical and market analysis roles, including as an analyst supporting market and corporate strategy development. Originally with a physical science and metallurgy background, he has 23 years’ experience in the industrial metals sector, including as a consumer of CRU services.

Most recently Chris led CRU’s Steel Business Unit and Prices Development function but has previously worked as an analyst and Editor of some of CRU’s leading services. As Head of Analysis, Chris will drive and support the development and delivery of CRU’s price, analysis, forecasting, cost and carbon emissions services for the global mining, metals and fertilizer markets CRU serves.

Chris will have the needs of our customers at heart as CRU’s Head of Analysis, working with all the great analysts and leaders in his team and across the business to deliver and grow value. I’m delighted he can bring his leadership, analysis and customer experience to the role.
