CRU Breakfast 2023 Theme: Core vs Critical Commodities
CRU Breakfast 2023 is designed to offer a comprehensive understanding of the core and critical commodities, assessing their potential impacts on the global economy, and evaluating their role in the current energy transition.
This year CRU experts will explore the strategic outlook, medium-term, and long-term perspectives of global commodity markets.
The opening session "Core vs Critical Metals: Driving the Future of Mining" will commence with two presentations from our CRU experts presenting the case for "core" and "critical" metals. This will set the stage for a follow-up discussion involving industry experts and policymakers, who will share their views on the industry's focus and their responsive actions, examining the potentially transformative impact of energy transition versus traditional demand drivers in the mining industry.
The mid-term outlook session, "The (turbulent) path(s) through 2024" will present CRU's 18-month outlook for LME metals. Our team will evaluate the potential impacts of demand-led scenarios, with particular emphasis on the role of the Energy Transition and traditional demand drivers.
In the final session, "The Long-Term View," our experts will dive into the management of supply and demand of critical minerals in the era of growing environmental responsibility and the need for sustainable business operations. They will cover a wide range of topics, from upstream challenges and supply bottlenecks to green power applications and strategic partnerships.
Whether you're a policymaker, industry stakeholder, or an observer of the commodities world, this event will equip you with a comprehensive understanding of the current landscape and what lies ahead.
